Hi friends! It’s Courtney here. I recently stayed at this amazing Victorian waterfront beach house with a group of friends in Washington. It was such a picturesque place, I took lots of photos and thought you’d enjoy a little peek of the inside! It definitely gave me “coastal grandmother style” vibes.
It was adorable as is…but I couldn’t help but envision all the potential and things I would love to do if I owned this house!
My mom has shared many times before here on the blog about looking for inspiration in many different places to find your own unique style (you can read about that and watch a live video we did on that topic here).
It’s easy to get in a rut of design inspiration when you see a lot of similar things online…but staying in this house inspired me to think outside the box a bit and notice details that I may not have considered. Stained glass, Tiffany style chandeliers, fun patterned wallpaper, and other details made this house really special and memorable! Sometimes even beyond the specific design style, observing a space can inspire you to create a similar feeling or experience in your own way (like a hanging porch swing or a cozy breakfast nook!).
I made a couple of mood boards at the end of this post with lots of similar decor sources if you want to get the look! This bedroom (above) was my favorite room in the house!
Enjoy the tour! (You can also see a short video tour here).

When in an adorable cottage room…it’s the right time to take a mirror selfie. That’s what I told myself as I snapped this. 🙂 The mint/sage greenish wall trim and closet doors of this room inspired me! I’m not sure what the paint color is, but Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore is a potentially similar color!
I loved the doors and all the crystal doorknobs throughout the home.
The stained glass throughout the home was so pretty! I loved this little breakfast nook. (I found similar Tiffany light fixtures online–see those at the end of this post!).
This was the coziest space, lots of board games were played around this table.

Goals someday…have a hanging porch swing. 🙂 This swing looks similar (see more porch swings at the end of this post!).
There was so much beautiful trim work around the home…I loved all the archways!
The cutest built-in bed situation. So cozy!
This hot tub room off the back of the house was so fun.
The house had several beautiful vintage bathrooms with (I assume) original tile and wallpaper!
