Culp brings on new EVP of home fashions division

HIGH POINT– Tommy Bruno will join Culp as the company’s new executive vice president of Culp Home Fashions on Sept. 6.

Current Culp Home Fashions President Sandy Brown will retire Dec. 31. Bruno is expected to assume the role of president of the company’s Home Fashions division after Brown’s retirement.

Bruno previously served as the vice president of business development, alternative channels for Tempur +Sealy since 2018. Prior to that, he worked as the company’s senior vice president and chief financial officer with the Comfort Revolution brand.

“We are excited to welcome Tommy Bruno to our Culp team,” said IV Culp, company president and CEO. “He brings a wealth of experience across several disciplines, including financial, operations, strategy and management, and his extensive knowledge of the bedding industry will help us continue to strengthen our operations.  We believe Tommy is an excellent fit for our future strategic plans.”

Brown started her career with Culp in 1983 and has worked for the company for 39 years. In 2007, Brown became chief financial officer of the Culp Home Fashions division and subsequently became executive vice president in 2019. She became president of the Culp Home Fashions division in 2020.

Culp, Inc. markets a variety of fabrics to its global customer base of bedding and furniture companies, including fabrics produced at Culp’s manufacturing facilities and fabrics sourced through other suppliers. The company has manufacturing and sourcing operations located in the United States, Canada, China, Vietnam, Turkey and Haiti.
