SAN FRANCISCO – The most recent introduction from luxury rug brand Divya Living is the Una rug collection.
Una is made from New Zealand wool that is blended with wool from the Mediterranean. The rug contains a sturdy weft that is braided by hand and then woven into its final expression, according to the company.
The brand, which began in 1840 in the small town of Panipat, India, courtesy of the Singla family, said it is committed to creating beautiful, meticulously hand-woven artisanal rugs, combining centuries-old techniques with a contemporary aesthetic.
The Singla family named the company Divya, which means divine brilliance, and set a goal of creating products so that luxury and sustainability can coexist harmoniously, sourcing only premium, ethically sourced materials to craft rugs.
