DORSET, England – Paint and wallpaper maker Farrow & Ball is partnering with fashion designer Christopher John Rogers to launch a new collection of patterns and color on Thursday, Sept. 7.
The new collection, called Carte Blanche, offers a foundation of four neutrals, eight statement shades and three playful wallpaper prints which all place the emphasis on expressive, individual style.
Inspired by cherished memories of food and family, the 12 new paint shades range from vivid blue to verdant green, cheerful pink to structural neutrals. The result is a color palette of elevated exuberance. For the first time, the collection also includes three new wallpaper patterns centered around playing with shape, each available in three Carte Blanche colorways. Exquisitely fashioned but far from restrictive, the elements can be effortlessly combined with endless possibilities.
“I’m obsessed with Christopher’s use of color. He treats it so tenderly and the result can be a beautifully tempered explosion or a slick confident splash,” said Charlotte Cosby, Farrow & Ball creative director. “His lines are impeccable, and you can’t help but be drawn to the exquisite quality of his pieces, a key reason why he felt like such a natural partner for us.”
Cosby said it’s been incredible to work with Rogers since craft and attention to detail are intrinsic to both of their processes.
“Carte Blanche is all about finding freedom to create a personal look and enjoy the process,” Cosby added. “The palette has 12 colors and for the first time, we’ve included our wallpapers in the collaboration too.”
Rogers said colors are always his starting point when he is working.
“With their emphasis on quality and longevity, and my emphasis on artful, declarative design, I think this partnership has created something incredibly exciting by mining the space between both feelings,” Rogers said. “I’m so excited for people to be able to access these paints and papers.”
