After its debut last April, the second-annual Vacation Rental Design Summit is scheduled for April 10-12, 2024, in High Point, N.C. Its call for speakers is now open through December 29.
High Point by Design is again partnering with High Point Market Authority for the summit, which will be three days long instead of two and take place before High Point Market, which opens on April 13.
With the tagline “Ordinary isn’t Profitable,” VRDSummit 2 will focus on elevating design business practices, sourcing and the guest experience, as well as making clear the value designers bring when working with property managers and investors, a release said.
It will also return to historic Congdon Yards, this time on the third floor, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology-enabled education spaces, ergonomic seating and conference rooms ideal for smaller group learning.
“Every member of our core team fell hard for this space because it is beautifully appointed, very comfortable, and allows us to add new learning opportunities to the schedule that we could not do at the first Summit,” said Jane Dagmi, HPxD managing director. “We think attendees and vendors will absolutely love experiencing this space.”
“We know there is a need for this type of education and community in the vacation rental design world,” said interior designer Jessica Duce, cofounder of VRD Summit and Vacation Rental Designers Collective. “Designers educated in the vacation rental design space have the ability to curate spaces that appeal to guests, that perform well for maintenance, and improve the bottom line for owners and investors.”
More than 200 design professionals attended the first Vacation Rental Design Summit in April 2023 and 89% went on to attend High Point Market, a release said. Drawing designers from more than 32 states and Canada, the High Point Market Authority reported that of the buyers who attended the Summit, 46% of them were new to High Point.
“We are thrilled to partner again with High Point by Design to bring VRD Summit round 2 to Spring Market 2024,” said Ashley Grigg, vice president of strategic growth and partnerships for HPMA. “The inaugural VRDSummit was successful in both spotlighting a product category prevalent at High Point Market and supporting new and existing attendees interested in embracing this burgeoning niche. We look forward to continuing and furthering the conversation around this topic.”
Registration for VRDSummit 2 will open January 9, 2024, with early bird pricing.
