Hooker Furnishings promotes Erin Stone to VP post

MARTINSVIILLE, Va. — Hooker Furnishings, a home furnishings resource for case goods, leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture, has promoted company veteran Erin Stone to the position of vice president of relationship management operations.

In her new role, Stone will take the lead on integrating customer care and service, account and order management, as well as contract and hospitality operations and project management functions between its legacy and HMI brands. Stone will report to Anne Smith, chief administrative officer, and president of domestic upholstery.

“We are excited to take the next step in following through with our company mantra ‘One Company, One Team’ by having Erin oversee the merging of our management and service teams,” Smith said. “She has been working with the different teams over the past several months in preparation and is creating a plan to proactively grow our warehouse and designer business with all our brands.”

Most recently, Stone was director of key accounts and hospitality sales operations at Home Meridian International. Prior to that, she served as senior account manager leading direct operations and identifying growth opportunities for the division.

Previously, she worked with high-end textile source JAB Anstoetz USA, based in Germany with New York and North Carolina offices.

Stone received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro. She is certified in Global Studies and Textile Fundamentals. She also is a chair of the AIDE DEI initiative at Hooker Furnishings and is rising secretary of the Junior League of High Point.
