Latin American luxury brand opens 1st showroom in trendy Texas city

AUSTIN, Texas —Omet, the luxury brand that highlights Latin American design, launched its first permanent retail location here earlier in October.

Designed by Lorena Vieyra, founder, curator and creative director, the 2,500-square-foot space is located in the Central East Austin neighborhood at 1322 E. 12th S., suite 102B, a growing area for all things design and creativity. Surrounded by interior design studios and architecture firms, the showroom is at the heart of Austin’s design scene.

“Austin is a vibrant city, with a design scene that continues to grow, so it is the location of choice for our first showroom,” said Vieyra. “The city is a place for Omet to collaborate with local designers and creatives, and to introduce our unique designs to design enthusiasts.”

The brand officially launched in May during NYCxDesign, presenting a curated selection of collectible furniture and home furnishings by designers across Mexico and Latin America.

The showroom will display more than 50 products, including Omet’s inaugural collection, featuring pieces by renowned sculptor Pedro Reyes, multidisciplinary designer Héctor Esrawe and industrial designer Raúl de la Cerda, alongside new launches from textile designer Marisol Centeno and interior designer Simón Hamui. Vieyra will also showcase her first product line.
