CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – Surya has acquired RST Brands, an outdoor furniture company that’s based in Salt Lake City, Utah., for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 2004, RST brands offers a diverse range of outdoor products including Sunbrella performance fabrics.
“We are thrilled to bring the RST Brands team and business into the Surya family and look forward to the future growth opportunities we will pursue together,” said Surya President Satya Tiwari. “This acquisition provides us with a well-established platform to serve our customers’ diverse needs … and accelerate our mission to become the most comprehensive resource for home furnishings for every lifestyle.”
Tiwari added that the purchase will enable Surya to immediately gain market share and strengthen its capabilities in the rapidly growing outdoor furnishings segment.
The purchase of RST Brands marks the second strategic acquisition for Surya in the last six months, after the purchase of accessories company Global Views in April.
According to Tiwari, this demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to providing customers with a robust range of home furnishings that resonate with a wide variety of lifestyles.
Over the past decade, Surya has consistently expanded its product portfolio. Tiwari said the company will now enhance its existing assortment of outdoor rugs, textiles and accents with design-forward outdoor furniture at all price points.
RST Brands’ signature Colorway Collections line, with its patented cushion system, frame configurations and Sunbrella fabric options, is just one example of the increased flexibility and customization that will be available to Surya customers.
