White, Ga. – As part of its ongoing initiative to expand the breadth and reach of its machine-made area rugs, Surya Inc. is taking the quality equation beyond appearances.
“We have new styles with high-perceived values,” Satya Tiwari, president, told sister publication Home Textiles Today. “We are working with new yarns, new applications of PET fibers, new [machine-]washable constructions, and much more, because the consumer is looking for extra flair. They want great design and great texture, but they also want great value.”
At New York Home Fashions Market March 13-16, the company is introducing several new collections, among them three highlights:
Rivaldo: Machine-woven in Turkey with updated traditional patterns and rich yet subtle tones, this 100% polyester collection features delicate high-low texture and unique fringe detailing.
Masterpiece: Featuring a neutral mix of modern and updated traditional patterns with intricate high-low dimensionality, this collection is machine-woven in Turkey from 100% polyester.
Dresden: A mostly neutral palette with pops of color, this 100% polyester collection offers unique modern and traditional patterns on a soft pile accented by a high-low texture.
“We’re working with a new playbook now, post-COVID. We’re now more conscious that, with inflation, the customer has limited disposable dollars,” Tiwari said. “What we are doing is reemphasizing the basics with more productivity and more innovation in fiber, design and value.”
Surya Inc.’s New York showroom is located at 230 5th Ave., suite 1503.
