Sustainable sourcing tour set for High Point Market on Earth Day

HIGH POINT — The Sustainable Furnishings Council is supporting a new event at the upcoming High Point Market. The Sustainable Choice: Green Product Sourcing Tour, scheduled for Earth Day on April 22 from 3-6 p.m., offers designers and retailers a way to discover and source furniture, fabrics and accessories for their sustainable projects and stores.

Tour guides Linda Kafka, of Livable Environment, and Angie Kenny, program director for SFC, will lead the tour of showrooms and will share sustainable practices from vetted manufacturers.

As part of the tour, marketgoers can learn what questions to ask and what to look for when shopping for sustainable design projects, discover what types of materials and products are environmentally responsible, and learn how to make informed design choices that create beautiful interiors that are good for the environment and good for our health.

RSVP is required by visiting the High Point Market Authority events page.
