The Haas Brothers Create a Fantasy Group of Creatures for the Home

After the success of their first debut collection with L’OBJET, The Haas Brothers have returned and designed Chapter Two, a new collection of fantasy creatures and characters that will undoubtedly bring life into your home. Inspired by the spirit of gathering, especially during the pandemic, The Haas Brothers wanted to create a collection that “tells the story of how [they] want the world to come back.” Each piece is whimsical in design, with a story to tell beyond its function.

In this second L’OBJET Haas Brothers collection, materials like wood, suede, mother of pearl, and glass are used to bring the brothers’ ideas to life. Pastel colors inspired by the Mojave desert are accented with pops of gold for an unexpected, luxe touch.

The creatures are odd and peculiar with details that seem straight out of Alice in Wonderland. Their personalities arguably overshadow their functions, blurring the line between art and design. With each object, the dining table becomes a transformed world that has come to life.

Some objects, like the chess set, encourage social interaction. Others, like the Mediator incense holder, help facilitate introspection. Every piece is a bit cheeky, a reflection of the Haas Brothers’ playful humor.
