Top 100 retailer acquires unsold Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams inventory

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlet and its parent company, Haynes Furniture, have acquired the unsold inventory from luxury home brand, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, following MG+BW’s recent bankruptcy.

Newly acquired merchandise featuring furniture, rugs, mattresses, lighting and home accents sourced from MG+BW’s 30 stores and national warehouse will hit most of the retailer’s showrooms just in time for Black Friday.

The Dump, Lombard, Ill.

The merchandise will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis, at The Dump Luxury Outlets in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix and Virginia, along with all Haynes Furniture stores in Virginia Beach, Newport News and Richmond. All locations, now open seven days a week, will discount the MG+BW merchandise up to 80% below the original price.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our customers to access the exclusive designs and impeccable quality of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams at prices that make luxury truly affordable,” said Randi Strelitz, chief merchant and director of The Dump Luxury Outlets and Haynes Furniture. “This move lies at the heart of our brand and merchandising strategy: our core belief that luxury should not be reserved for the privileged few.”

Haynes Furniture, family-operated for 125 years, created The Dump nearly 30 years ago, as a marketplace for luxury brands to liquidate their inventories, including closeouts, overstocks and showroom design samples. Haynes Furniture ranked No. 53 on the most recent Furniture Today Top 100 report, with estimated furniture, bedding and accessory sales of $201 million in 2022.
