Online retailer YLighting has officially become absorbed into the Lumens brand, an initiative parent company Design Holding announced in March.
“As partner brands, the YLighting and Lumens teams have worked together in our shared mission to connect the world with good design, and now we will do so under one name: Lumens,” the company said in an email to its customers. “Both sites have sourced from over 350 global brands representing iconic designs, to the latest innovative makers of today, and now we invite you to shop it all—and more—in one place: Lumens.com.”
Design Holding, which also owns B&B Italia, Flos and Louis Poulsen, purchased YDesign Group, which included YLighting and Lumens, last year. Since then, it has turned its focus onto Lumens, underscoring looks that are bold and modern and built on the brand’s heritage, CEO Laura Walsh told Home Accents Today’s Allison Zisko in its March issue, which is when it also unveiled a new logo and tagline — “Enlightened by Design.”

“We know [YLighting is] a beloved brand and we will handle it carefully, but we will focus our resources on Lumens going forward,” Walsh said in March. “We are the specialists and experts in lighting and we will always maintain that core.”
Open orders will be processed as usual with no interruption in shipping or service, the email to its customers said this week, and their order histories from both YLighting and Lumens will be available in My Account on Lumens in a few days.
