HIGH POINT – Thirteen home furnishings and accent brands made it onto Newsweek’s third most trustworthy list this year.
Ethan Allen, Flexsteel and Tempur Sealy International are among the companies highlighted in the consumer brands category. Havertys Furniture, Sleep Number, American Furniture Warehouse, Franchise Group, Amazon, At Home, Williams Sonoma and Kohl’s made the retail list; Urban Outfitters and Land’s End garnered praise in the textiles category. The list includes 700 companies in 23 different industries.
Categories included aerospace and defense, retail, banks, textiles, appliances and electronics, construction, financial services, and more. Other retailers that sell home furnishings on the list were Target, Walmart, Kirkland’s and TJX Cos.
In addition to consumer trust, the listing takes into account investor trust and employee trust.
Newsweek teamed up with Statista to compile the ranking that considered U.S.-based companies with revenues of more than $500 million.
“The Third Annual Most Trustworthy Companies in America celebrates the unwavering commitment of companies that prioritize integrity, transparency, and reliability,” said Josh Smith, Newsweek’s director of growth and strategic partnerships. “As we continue to navigate a complex business landscape, these honorees serve as beacons of trust, embodying values that resonate with consumers and stakeholders alike.”
